**SALARY**: £27,500 per annum + Benefits and Training

**LOCATION**: Hybrid. Working from Home, the office in Aberdeen and visiting youth organisations, colleges and schools across Aberdeen and surrounding areas. There will be periodic trips required to the Head Office in London.

**JOB TYPE**: Full-Time, Permanent

JOB OVERVIEW

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for an Education Training Programmes Officer / Trainer / Assessor who has experience delivering participatory learning programmes to young people, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with teachers, youth within schools, colleges and local authorities.

As the Education Training Programmes Officer / Trainer / Assessor you will organise and deliver programmes in your organisations, colleges and schools across Aberdeen and surrounding areas for predominantly employability and vulnerable groups of young adults aged 16-25, with supplementary work in primary and secondary schools.

Working as the Education Training Programmes Officer / Trainer / Assessor your duties and responsibilities will include:
Delivering financial education programmes to a diverse range of young people aged 7-25 in youth and school settings across the North West. Effectively engaging learners with a style that is clear, concise, energetic and relevant

Delivering programmes to a high standard, meeting the organisation’s quality standards and following the organisation’s education ethos

Building and maintaining relationships with individual youth organisation colleges and schools, booking in programmes for you and others to deliver

Helping logístically organise and run courses, including confirming bookings, making pre-calls, supporting young people’s attendance

Marking and internally verifying accredited work booklets

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

As the Education Training Programmes Officer / Trainer / Assessor will have:
Have a creative style of delivery, and ability to ‘wow’ young people, taking them on a memorable learning journey. Have a good grasp on popular and youth culture

Previous experience delivering participatory learning programmes to young people. Be confident in engaging young people you’re meeting for the first time within different settings including mainstream classrooms, community centres, alternative education organisations (e.g. leaving care teams).

Have a Level 3 AET, PTLLS or higher qualification in education, or willing to carry out with the support of the organisation upon employment

Be able to engage young people you are meeting for the first time within different settings including mainstream classrooms, community centres, alternative education organisations (e.g. Pupil Referral Units, YMCAs)

Be great with people. Have excellent relationship building skills and demonstrable experience in creating, maintaining, and enhancing effective working relationships

Being able to maintain strong working relationships with local and national colleagues

Have the confidence to engage with a range of people in different environments and speak passionately about a project or issue to enthuse others

Have a strong interest in personal finance and be committed to becoming an expert in these topics.

Possess strong IT skills

Be willing to frequently travel across the North West

Have a fluent command of English and have the right to live and work in the UK
