Position Overview

Join the Orion Group as an Electrical Engineering Trainer. This role is ideal for individuals with prior offshore experience looking to transition into the educational sector.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of the Electrical Engineering Training Team, you will:

  • Engage proactively with the Operations Manager and Senior Management Team to ensure effective communication and support.
  • Deliver and assess Electrical Engineering courses, providing necessary assistance to participants in line with awarding body standards.
  • Facilitate the delivery and evaluation of all Electrical Engineering training programs, ensuring compliance with established guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Lead to support the Internal Verification process as needed.
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Electrical Engineering curriculum and associated training materials.
  • Work alongside the Operations Manager to maintain accurate and efficient record-keeping practices.
  • Ensure that all learning evidence is meticulously documented and completed for each participant.
  • Offer constructive feedback and support to participants, both individually and in group settings.
  • Regularly review and enhance course content and delivery methods.
  • Assist in evaluating and suggesting improvements for Electrical Engineering training programs.
  • Prepare for and support Internal and External Audits.
Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A comprehensive understanding of Electrical Engineering Maintenance in both offshore and onshore settings.
  • Practical knowledge of Electrical Engineering equipment and systems.
  • A solid grasp of Electrical Engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with Safe Systems of Work and Permit to Work protocols.
  • Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Proficient numeracy, literacy, and computing abilities.
  • Relevant occupational experience in Electrical Engineering.
  • SVQ Level 3 Electrical Engineering certification or equivalent apprenticeship qualification.
  • Previous experience in vocational training is advantageous.
