The Change & Operational Readiness Manager


Role purpose


As the Change & Operational Readiness Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving change within our team. You will lead the charge in ensuring all major central change initiatives are embedded within the Operations team, whilst also championing local process enhancements. Your role will be pivotal in supporting our growth plans and making impactful improvements that resonate throughout the department.

Key responsibilities


  • To act as the main Home Finance representative for each change project, supporting the Bank’s Change Delivery Framework and full project lifecycle.
  • Attending Project Working Groups, Planning Events, Daily Stand Ups, Stakeholder Meetings, Governance Meetings, and any other workshops where appropriate.
  • To work with the wider Technology & Transformation teams to ensure a joined-up approach.
  • To ensure change demand is well thought-out and benefits assessments are completed demonstrating a positive return on investment.
  • To be a champion of continuous improvement and lean process design when providing business requirements.
  • To design impactful Operational Readiness plans for each change, that outlines how the change will be delivered and communicated to both the impacted area, and the wider Bank.
  • To design and support the completion of User Acceptance Testing, whilst communicating any bugs and/or change requests to stakeholders.
  • To provide technical change expertise across key business systems.
  • To create both reporting and presentation material that accurately describes a ‘single view of change’ for Home Finance Operations.
  • To support the Head of Operational Change across the entire change portfolio as required.


Key Skills required:


  • Financial Services experience (Mortgages or similar).
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint as a minimum).
  • Experience in Change Management.
  • Ability to influence and constructively challenge stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills with stakeholders including Executive.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of Operational processes (Customer Services, Collections, Underwriting etc.)
