We are working in partnership with a Local Authority based in the Liverpool area who are looking to appoint a Homeless Prevention & Triage Officer to their Homelessness Service.
3 -6 Month agency contract with a view to being extended on an ongoing basis.
Location - Liverpool, L2. (Hybrid / Remote working on offer)
Full Time Position (35 Hours Per Week)
Rate of Pay - £16 - £20 per hour - Higher rates can be negotiated for more experienced candidates)
About the Role:
The Homeless Prevention & Triage Officer will provide frontline support to individuals and families at risk of homelessness. The role involves assessing needs, delivering prevention strategies, and coordinating access to services, ensuring sustainable housing solutions..
Key Requirements:
Conduct initial assessments to determine urgency and prioritise cases.
Serve as the first point of contact for housing assistance.
Develop prevention plans to help clients maintain accommodation.
Provide housing advice and mediate to prevent eviction.
Manage a caseload, develop housing plans, and maintain accurate records.
Work with local authorities and agencies to coordinate client support.
Refer clients to relevant services and attend multi-agency meetings.
Provide up-to-date advice on housing rights and welfare benefits.
Advocate for clients within the housing system.Experience/Knowledge Needed:
Experience in Homeless Prevention.
Knowledge of housing legislation and welfare benefits.
