About the Role

The CTI Custody Worker will be part of a Critical Time Intervention (CTI) team working across the Liverpool City Region. The role is a 12-month fixed-term contract, providing family leave cover.

CTI is an evidence-based model designed to support individuals transitioning from custody to community. The model uses a time-limited case management approach to prevent and end homelessness.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop relationships with clients and identify their goals and ambitions
  • Provide support and connect clients with agencies that will assume primary support roles
  • Monitor and strengthen support networks and client skills
  • Terminate CTI and step back, transferring care to other agencies

The post holder will work within the CTI framework, supporting prison leavers from custody into accommodation, preventing homelessness on release.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have experience delivering person-centered support with statutory and non-statutory services within the criminal justice system. You will also have an appreciation of delivering support within a time-limited framework.

You will demonstrate knowledge of issues affecting homeless or vulnerably housed individuals, including mental illness, addiction, the benefit system, and housing. Being committed to empowering homeless and vulnerably housed individuals is essential to this role.

Due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you have a valid driving license and access to your own vehicle.
