About the role

NFU Mutual have an exciting opportunity for 2 Application Delivery Managers to join our Group IT Customer Applications and Data Services department to lead our Data Engineering (Systems Integrations, Shared Data Platform) and our Customer Master Data Management teams.

Within these roles you'll lead and manage IT Development Teams and IT Application Support Teams on a day-to-day basis; to ensure these IT services operate to the agreed SLA's, KPI's and business objectives. You will develop and oversee regular reporting on your service, including your Risks, Issues and Controls management.

You'll have the opportunity to play a central role in mastering our Customer Data and managing our data integration services across our Applications estate

You'll define, lead, plan and prioritise the delivery, implementation and service transition of IT projects in conjunction with other internal and external IT and business stakeholders, ensuring that stakeholders, resources, dependencies, cost, quality and time are managed within agreed parameters.

A key part of the roles will be establishing and managing resourcing plans to support project and change demand utilising established partner resource augmentation models, utilising appropriate governance frameworks and processes for IT Delivery Management, IT Service Management and IT Risks and Issues Management, escalating where necessary. In addition to this you'll also monitor and report on application licensing and support agreements in area of responsibility, ensuring budget cycles are understood and planned, NFUM are compliant within existing licensing agreements, and opportunities for cost savings are identified.

Customer Applications and Data sits at the heart of Group IT Applications stack, responsible for a number of key services including our CRM (MS Dynamics) service, cross systems and 3rd party integrations services that link and pass data across all our core systems, the support of our Group-wide Shared Data Platform, Customer Master Data Management and our future Customer Online Account platform. Alongside our Internal Developers and Engineers, you'll work closely with our 3rd party partners to deliver these services.

Data Engineering manages Data Integration services (IIB, APIM) integrate across NFU Mutual's major systems including external services. Our Azure Shared Data Platform Service and the provisioning of data into the platform for Business Data Analytical consumption. The role will see you working closely with our Platform Architect building out our People and Technology Strategy for Integration services.

Customer Master Data Management manages our existing MDM and Data Stewards service core to NFU Mutual's Customer Data Mastering process across our Line of Business Systems. A key focus will be to successfully Transition the upcoming build of a New MDM platform and establish the service to underpin our Customer Data Mastering strategy maintaining a single view of our customers for the organisation.

This is an exciting time to join as NFU Mutual embeds Agile ways of working across our Business, whilst seeing a significant investment across our Data Mastering tooling, Integration strategy and our data analytics capabilities, supporting a roadmap of strategic change planned for the coming years.

About you

You'll be able to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders of all levels and have significant experience of Stakeholder management, along with a track record of successful IT Application related service delivery and improvements. You will be passionate in developing and growing your people and services and possess excellent communication skills

To successfully perform in this role you will have an understanding and experience of Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) framework, ideally possess an IT related degree or related industry experience as well as have experience of leading multi-disciplinary IT development and support teams ideally in an insurance, investments and pensions environment. Along with a proven ability to build and mature delivery teams, their processes and associated controls.

Knowledge of project management methodologies and good commercial awareness is key to succeeding in this role. You'll ideally have previously, successfully managed third parties in augmenting and delivering IT applications.
