Position Overview

As a Senior Cybersecurity Operations Specialist, you will collaborate with various teams to detect and manage security incidents, ensuring timely identification, investigation, and mitigation of relevant security threats.

Reporting directly to the Security Operations Centre Manager, you will be an integral part of the Cybersecurity Team, responsible for assessing the security risks faced by our organization and implementing appropriate responses to maintain our security posture in alignment with the evolving needs of our organization.

Your Responsibilities

  • Monitor security events and pinpoint potential incidents across all organizational environments (Corporate, Production, Development).
  • Evaluate alerts, assess risks, and prioritize incident investigation efforts.
  • Develop security tools and integrations to streamline security operation processes.
  • Collaborate with technical and business units to identify the source of incidents and determine suitable resolutions.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews to identify 'lessons learned' in collaboration with other teams.
  • Investigate security incidents and generate accurate, timely reports on Information Security incidents to facilitate effective mitigation measures.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in developing security tools and contributing to open-source projects.
  • Strong attention to detail coupled with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • In-depth knowledge of the technical foundations of networking, operating systems, and applications, including:
    • TCP/IP
    • Linux
    • Windows
    • Web technologies
    • Other networking protocols
  • Solid understanding of Information Security processes and principles.
  • Skills in vulnerability research and exploitation.
  • Self-motivated and well-organized.
  • Familiarity with regulatory and industry standards such as ISO27001, PCI-DSS, etc.
