Occupational Therapist - Band 6 - Prestigous Neuro-Rehabilitation Clinic - Swindon - up to £37,000 + Benefits
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Band 6 Neuro Occupational Therapist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in neurorehabilitation and will be responsible for providing high-quality occupational therapy to patients with neurological conditions. This role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and innovative environment, focusing on improving patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with neurological conditions, including stroke, brain injury, and neurodegenerative diseases.
Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address cognitive, motor, and functional impairments.
Deliver evidence-based interventions aimed at enhancing patient independence and quality of life.
Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure integrated patient care and achieve therapeutic goals.
Educate and support patients and their families on condition management and home adaptations.
Supervise and mentor junior staff and students, providing guidance and support in clinical practice.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in line with clinical documentation standards.
Requirements:
Degree in Occupational Therapy or equivalent qualification.
HCPC Registration.
Significant experience in neurological occupational therapy, including previous roles at Band 5 or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of neurological assessments and intervention techniques.
Proven ability to develop and execute personalized therapy plans.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
Experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff.
Desirable:
Relevant postgraduate qualifications or certifications in neurorehabilitation.
Experience in working with diverse patient populations and conditions.
