About This Role
We are seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Support Worker to join our dynamic therapy team at Newton Abbot Community Hospital. In this part-time role, you will play a vital part in supporting the delivery of rehabilitation programs to patients under the guidance of qualified Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists.
Your Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team, including nurses and GPs, to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Assist patients in regaining their independence through physical exercise programs, functional activities, and cognitive interventions.
- Provide support with equipment selection and training to enhance patient mobility and daily living skills.
- Accompany patients during discharge planning, including home visits or on-the-day support to ensure a smooth transition.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the therapy team by assisting with administrative tasks and maintaining accurate records.
