As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced hands on, people focused HR Business Partner to join our team. This role will focus on partnering with senior operations teams, providing expert HR advice, and leading high volume recruitment, onboarding, and training initiatives.

This is an exciting and fast paced role serving our incredible client across our UK locations of Alton Towers, Warwick Castle, Chessington World of Adventures, Thorpe Park and Legoland.


Reporting to our UK HR Director, you will be responsible for partnering with key stakeholders and the wider people team to drive operational HR delivery to a high standard. You contribute to shaping, and delivering the People Plan with appropriate strategic solutions which enable the business to achieve its goals and live its values.


You will develop deep business insight to effectively advise and coach leaders. Playing a pivotal role in making Aramark UK a great place to work, with a strong focus on employee engagement, talent, learning & development, EDI, culture, and our values.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Partnering: Collaborate with senior operations teams at Merlin theme parks to understand business needs, providing HR insights and aligning strategies with operational goals.
  • High Volume Recruitment: Lead the strategy for recruitment process for high volume roles, particularly during peak seasons, ensuring we attract and onboard the best talent efficiently.
  • Onboarding & Day One Experience: Work with centres of excellence in designing and implementing an engaging onboarding program that ensures new employees are well-integrated, motivated, and prepared from day one.
  • Training & Development: Work with the central L&D team to further develop training programs that cover mandatory requirements (e.g., health & safety, food hygiene) and support long-term employee development and career progression.
  • Employee Experience: Drive initiatives that enhance overall employee satisfaction and retention, including development opportunities and recognition programs.
  • ED&I: Champion Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion and be an active ally for the employee representative groups.
  • Compliance: Ensure all HR activities comply with UK employment laws and Aramark’s internal policies, maintaining high standards of fairness and equity.
  • Travel: Regular travel to Merlin theme parks across the UK is required to support on-site HR activities and operational needs.
  • People Data & Analytics: Utilise people data and analytics to share insight and influence decision making.
  • Annual Reviews: Support the annual cycle of people activity, including Salary review, talent and succession, performance management and employee engagement activities.
  • Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with the wider HR Team to enhance our People offer based on business needs and help identify continuous improvement opportunities across HR processes, policies and procedures.
  • Transformation: Support leaders through organisational change and evolution working with our ER centre of excellence. Provide oversight, governance, and expert advice in support of transformational change, restructures, TUPE, and redundancy; ensuring a commercially focussed approach to improve cost and efficiency.
  • Project Work: Take the lead on selected HR projects work working collaboratively with your HR network.


Key Requirements:

  • Experience: 5+ years in HR roles with a focus on employee relations, high volume recruitment, and training, preferably within the hospitality, food service, or leisure industries. We are happy to consider candidates from alternative industries such as high-end retail. Experience working with senior management is essential.
  • Education: You will be a CIPD qualified generalist HR Partner who has exposure to change management, transformation, Employee Relations and TUPE
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with competing priorities and a dynamic workforce. The ability to work as a team player and roll up your sleeves and get involved in the granular detail where needed
  • Travel: Willingness to travel regularly across the UK to support various Merlin theme park locations.
