E-Commerce Executive / Digital Marketing


Pars Rug Gallery is looking to hire an eCommerce Product Listings Creator and Marketing Services Assistant.


We're seeking an experienced individual to join our team in an established eCommerce business. Our company is a fast-growing seller of modern and antique Oriental rugs and luxurious accessories based in Romsey, with branches in Hungerford, Edenbridge, Hartley Witney and Southampton. We seek a critical staff member to help drive us to the next level.


The successful applicant will be responsible and reliable, someone we can count on who has a willingness and desire to learn. Strong administrative experience is essential; you must be very organized, able to demonstrate high accuracy and be highly competent in I.T. skills. You must be able to work under your initiative and as part of a team, learn new processes, manage your workload effectively and consistently look for efficiencies and better ways of doing things.


We are a team, so everyone shares duties with various tasks.


The Role:


The following tasks will be shared amongst our team members, and we will work closely in a friendly environment to fulfil the projects. Working for a business like ours in eCommerce involves a varied workload; some of your duties will be:

  • Product photography, including editing images in Photoshop.
  • Creating accurate, detailed and engaging product listings for eBay, Amazon, and 1stdibs (Online platform and our newly built website.
  • Customer Services - dealing with customer inquiries via email and phone and order returns
  • Warehouse organization (lifting often required).
  • We are managing stock levels.
  • Monthly sales reports.
  • Ideally, the role would suit someone looking for full-time employment, but part-time/flexible working arrangements are also attractive.
  • I'd like for you to help in formulating strategies to build a lasting digital connection with consumers.
  • Plan and monitor the ongoing company presence on social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.)
  • Launch optimized online adverts through Google Adwords, Facebook, etc., to increase company and brand awareness.
  • Be actively involved in SEO efforts (keyword, image optimization, etc.)
  • Prepare online newsletters and promotional emails and organize their distribution through various channels.
  • Provide creative ideas for content marketing and update the website
  • Collaborate with designers to improve user experience


The following skills are desirable and could help you impress us, but are not essential:


  • Experience with Linnworks, Magento, Shopify and other online marketplaces.
  • Creating and updating online product content – descriptions, keywords, photos.
  • Promoting business through social media.
  • Previous product photography experience.
  • Good working knowledge of Photoshop.
  • Knowledge about a product will be taught during training.
  • Proven experience as an E-commerce Marketing Executive or similar role
  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices
  • Experience with B2C social media, Google Adwords email campaigns and SEO/SEM
  • Perfect knowledge of IT and web analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics, NetInsight, WebTrends, etc.)
  • Skills and experience in creative content writing
  • Analytical mindset and critical thinking
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • BSc/B.A. in marketing or relevant field
  • Intermediate knowledge of Excel and its basic formula.
  • Previous use of Amazon Seller Central and eBay Selling Manager.
  • Experience listing products in bulk using Excel/CSV files.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Outlook (or similar).
