We are recruiting for a Clinical Support Workerwho shares our ambition and vision to deliver theBest of Care by the Best People and has the drive to take us forward, by ensuring that the Trust continues to be the first choice for patients and our staff.
Main duties of the job
To assist the nursing team to ensure the day to day running of the Chemotherapy unit is maintained to the highest standard.
The post holder will be responsible for supporting the nurses with observations, venepuncture, PICC and PORT flushes using posiflush, and dressing changes.
Once competent in Venepuncture, PICC and PORT flushes, and have completed the trust's care certificate, there is the opportunity to be uplifted to a Band 3 Senior Clinical Support Worker, the post holder will have the expectations to be able to run their own phlebotomy and central line clinics.
