Job Summary

Clinical Support Worker - Medway NHS Foundation Trust

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Support Worker to join our team at Medway NHS Foundation Trust. As a Clinical Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring patients receive high-quality clinical care and a good patient experience.

Main Responsibilities
  • Undertake a range of delegated clinical care duties to deliver agreed plans of care.
  • Provide excellent customer care skills to ensure patients come first.
  • Work with the team to triage patients and facilitate the waiting room.
  • Ensure patients receive high-quality clinical care and a good patient experience, having regard for their customs, religious beliefs, and doctrines.
  • Act as an advocate for patients within the ward/department, ensuring a patient-oriented approach to the delivery of care.
Requirements
  • Evidence of a General Education (e.g., GCSEs or equivalent).
  • NVQ 2 in Healthcare/QCF Diploma in Health Level 2 or equivalent in the area of specialty or an equivalent level of working experience within a similar role.
  • Knowledge and experience of taking clinical observations.
  • Knowledge of Manual Handling of patients, using lifting aids.
  • Some experience of working as a Healthcare Assistant in a Hospital or Registered Care setting.
  • Customer Care Experience.
