About the School: The primary school, based in Rainham, is a vibrant and inclusive school dedicated to providing an excellent education for all their students. We are seeking a motivated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team and support their primary school students from September 2024.
With a bus stop outside the school and plenty of free on-street parking, the institution is easily accessible by public transport and car.
Role Overview: The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting teaching and learning across the school. You will work closely with teachers to deliver high-quality lessons, support student learning, and contribute to the overall positive ethos of the school.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons under the direction of teaching staff.
Provide support to individual students and small groups to enhance their learning and development.
Assist in the assessment of students' progress and provide feedback to teachers.
Cover classes and manage the classroom in the absence of the teacher.
Support the planning and implementation of interventions for students with additional needs.
Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to create a positive learning environment.
Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school activities.Qualifications and Experience:
HLTA qualification or equivalent.
Experience working as a teaching assistant or in a similar role within a primary school.
Strong understanding of the primary school curriculum and effective teaching strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
Commitment to fostering a safe and inclusive learning environment.
