Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough and impartial reviews and appeals in response to housing applications and decisions
Assess and evaluate the merits of each case, ensuring compliance with relevant legislative frameworks
Gather and analyse evidence from multiple sources to make informed decisions
Prepare and present detailed reports to confidently defend or challenge decisions made
Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to ensure a fair and consistent approach
Provide accurate and up-to-date advice to applicants and stakeholders regarding reviews and appeals processesEssential Skills, Qualifications, Experience:
Strong understanding of housing legislation, regulations, and policies
Proven experience in reviewing and assessing housing applications and decisions
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and efficiently under tight deadlines
Attention to detail and strong organisational skills
Proficient in using Microsoft Office suiteDesirable Skills, Qualifications, Experience:
Knowledge of relevant local and national housing policies and procedures
Experience working within a local authority or similar public sector organisation
Familiarity with relevant case management systems
Understanding of equality and diversity principles
Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholdersTechnologies:
