The successful individual will join a well established and supportive team within a continuous improvement environment. There will be a number of high profile projects this role will support and will provide the individual with great exposure across the senior finance and executive team.
Role Overview:
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Preparation, review and analysis of financial information for provision to senior management including the Group Executive and Board
• Preparation, review and analysis of budgets, forecasts and strategic plans
• Involvement in the Group consolidated statutory accounts process at both interim and year end
• Preparation and review of UK subsidiary accounts and review of overseas entities
• Involvement in the development of financial reporting systems to support management and statutory reporting
• Contribute to maintaining and improving a strong governance environment for all financial reporting
• Contribute to the management of the Group structure
• Liaise with advisers including external auditors and tax advisers
• Collaborate with legal, tax and company secretarial on M&A activity and ad hoc projects
Candidate Background:
• Qualified accountant CA/ACCA/CIMA
• Degree educated with a track record of high academic achievement
• Strong understanding of IFRS and UK GAAP
• Experience of group management reporting, preferably at FTSE350 with multiple currencies
• Experience of subsidiary statutory accounts and Group statutory
reporting
• Legal entity controller experience (ideally of hold co/finance co/central type entities) beneficial
• Experience of consolidation systems beneficial
• Comfortable working to tight deadlines
• Inquisitive & with the ability to learn quickly
