Job Title: Senior Internal Auditor

Purpose of Role:_ _As Senior Internal Auditor, you will enhance Weir Group’s success by promoting effective control environments, highlighting emerging risks and associate opportunities through review, assessment, education and consultation.

The role supports the provision of assurance to the Audit Committee and Board, Group Executive and functional management concerning the identification, assessment and ownership of business risks. Further, this role will also contribute to the development and operation of effective processes and controls to manage those risks.

Key Responsibilities:
Methodology Development: Participate in defining, developing, and managing Internal Audit methodology in alignment with IIA standards.

Strategic Direction: Collaborate on the strategic direction of the Internal Audit function, developing and driving the Internal Audit agenda within the wider business to raise its profile.

Annual Audit Planning & Delivery: Contribute to establishing and delivery of the annual Audit Plan.

Risk Assessment and Control Evaluation: Analyse key risks and assess the effectiveness of controls in place to mitigate those risks within the areas under review.

Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviours in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety culture.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

- Experience in leading audits with teams or conducting audits individually from planning to execution and reporting writing - including developing test programmes.
- Experience undertaking internal audit for a global organisation and an awareness of best practice approaches to risk management and internal controls.
- Excellent reporting and communication skills.
- Strong MS Office and Data Analytics skills.
