The business is seeking an experienced (Senior) Project Engineer within their Plant Electrical Design team, with a track record in delivering comprehensive power system & equipment packages to HVDC / Substation / Electrification projects, to support the organisations ever expanding project portfolio in the UK. They provide the full suite-of-services from concept system designs, equipment specification & selection, system studies & testing, project oversight & system commissioning.
The ideal candidate will possess design knowledge of HV equipment, cabinets, circuit boards & controls who has overseen the full project lifecycle - technical specifications, bill of materials, documentation procedures.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the delivery of auxiliary power equipment within HVDC stations: supporting the Electrical Design teams work tasks, collaborating with other departments / customers / suppliers.
Deliver commercially & legally optimised electrical systems adhering to grid code & client specifications, through a deep understanding of the technical requirements of the project.
Prepare specifications, concepts, and final delivery of optimised auxiliary systems & equipment.
Accountable for: single line diagrams (auxiliary power), load calculations, equipment specifications/dimensions, supplier design reviews, FAT’s, cable layout designs, on-site installation & commissioning supervision.Equipment includes: Auxiliary Transformers, MV & LV Switchgear, Generator Systems, BESS, UPS and cables.Experience & Qualifications:
/ Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or similar Engineering principle.
Strong understanding of complete HVDC Power System & Equipment.
Desirable knowledge of Auxiliary Power Equipment, Selectivity Studies, Installation/Commissioning of LV/MV equipment.
