They are insistent on working at the sharp edge of technology and will be bringing in 10-15 new tech hires over the next quarter.nYou will be working hybrid in this role, with 2-3 days from their newly refurbished offices in Central Bournemouth, on commuting lines to London and 2 minutes from the Beach.
Your new rolenWill be to manage group of 3+ Support Engineers.nDaily health checks of environments, health monitoring.nCommunication with clients on ETA.nExtract required information from these sources to make correct decisions about mapping accounts to different financial entities (PB/ISDA/Futures/etc.)nDeal with support issues via Zendesk, assign tickets to support engineers.nMaintaining a knowledge base, transferring knowledge amongst team members.nIssues troubleshooting with application.nCommunication with Development department.nSubmit bug reports from production environments.nConduct interviews for potential candidates.nConduct quarterly/yearly performance reviews for services personnel.nEstablish the process of Dev team involvement with upgrades.
What you'll need to succeednWriting and manipulating SQL scriptsnProcedures, any t-sql scripts, profiling, debuggingnExceptional knowledge of MS SQL server administration (backups, maintenance)nExperience in supporting .Net and web-based applicationsnExperience in supporting Financial applicationsnExperience with Zendesk and JiranExperience with writing user manuals and wiki articlesnExperience with GIT, understanding of Git FlownExperience with TFSnExperience with TeamcitynExperience with OctopusnAbility to read/write RegExnWriting and enhancing shell scripts
