About the role:
There has never been a better time to join our family, due to continued growth, an opportunity has arisen for a Civils Project Manager to join our Midlands Division. You should have experience in all aspects of groundworks and S278/S38 highways, hard landscaping, road construction and earthworks.
You should ideally be located within the Suffolk area.
As Project Manager you will be responsible for the management and control of the project to ensure the safe completion, in accordance with programme, specification and budget.
Duties and responsibilities:
Leading and taking responsibility for the success, safety, quality, environmental, delivery, commercial and programme compliance of all contracts in your control.
Ensure that all business operations are executed in a safe manner within current Health, Safety & Environmental legislation.
Manage all site-based personnel within the contract.
Controlling client liaison and site team relationships.
Have a working knowledge of NEC 4 and JCT Conditions of Contract.
Knowledge of construction methods and techniques.
Effectively manage direct labour, sub-contractors, plant hire and material ordering.
Provide accurate management information to Contract Manager/Project Quantity Surveyor as required.
Budgets and materials control.
Manage all contracts with a view to maximising margins.
Have a working knowledge of current programming software.
Preparation of safety documentation as required.
Planning and scheduling project timelines.
Carrying out risk assessments.
Provide project documentation.Experience/skills and qualifications:
You will have experience of working within the construction industry specifically highways.
You will hold a professional qualification HNC, ONC or equivalent or have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role.
You will hold an appropriate CSCS card.
Be able to work clearly and accurately under pressure and tight timescales.
Be able to think logically and laterally.
Demonstrate excellent communication, liaison and organisational skills.
