Who this job suits:
This role is ideal for a Quality professional with an engineering background, possessing expertise in mechanical or electrical fields. The perfect candidate should excel in project management, have a knack for problem-solving, and bring a wealth of experience in maintaining and auditing quality systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Investigate and resolve operational issues systematically with cross-functional teams.
Oversee execution of supplier projects, including transfers and specification changes.
Develop and maintain internal audit processes to ensure conformity and effectiveness.
Drive continuous improvement, focusing on reducing PPM performance and recording Cost of Poor Quality.
Support a Quality Technician and Inspector to drive high standards of performance.
Implement a corrective action process (CAPA).
Ensure supplier engagement in the New Product Development process, supplemented by audits (NPD).Requirements:
Proven Quality Engineering experience within Manufacturing or Engineering
Knowledge of New Product Introduction & Development (NPI / NPD)
HND/HNC in Engineering or equivalent
Experience using Continuous Improvement methodologies.
Experience with quality tools - FMEA, PPAP, Control Plans, SPC, NCRs, CAPAs.Location: Rossendale
Salary: £35k - £45k (dependent on experience)
