Job Duties:
Provide direct care and support to children in residential care settings
Implement care plans and support the physical, emotional, and social needs of each child
Ensure a safe and nurturing environment for children under your care
Work collaboratively with other staff members and agencies to meet the needs of children
Participate in activities and outings with children to promote their well-being
Required Qualifications:
Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification
Valid DBS clearance
Experience working with children in a residential care setting
Education:
Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years' experience working with children in the following care settings
Harmful sexual behaviour (HSB) homes
Gang and radicalisation and intervention Program (GRIP) Homes
Child Exploitation (CSE) Homes
Complex Needs Homes
Knowledge and Skills:
Understanding of child development and safeguarding procedures
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work effectively within a team
Preferred Qualifications:
First Aid certification
Training in behaviour management techniques
Working Conditions:
Part-time hours, as per the needs of the residential care facility
Salary range: £12.50 - £13.50 per hour
Temporary position
