Position Summary:

Scoff Meals is seeking a passionate and experienced Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef, ensuring the highest standards of food quality, and helping to oversee daily kitchen operations. Your expertise and creativity will contribute to the development and execution of our diverse menu, maintaining our reputation for excellence.

Key Responsibilities:nAssist the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation and culinary activities.nSupervise kitchen staff, ensuring efficient operation and adherence to recipes and standards.nPrepare and cook high-quality dishes, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.nMonitor and manage inventory, ensuring freshness and availability of ingredients.nEnforce strict health and hygiene standards in the kitchen.nCollaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items and improve existing ones.nTrain and mentor junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.nEnsure that all kitchen equipment is maintained and operated safely and efficiently.nAssist in scheduling kitchen staff and managing labor costs within budget.

Requirements:nProven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role.nCulinary degree or equivalent experience.nStrong knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.nExcellent communication and leadership skills.nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.nStrong organizational and problem-solving abilities.nCommitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.nFlexibility to work the specified hours: Wednesday to Saturday, 7 AM - 4 PM.

(Thursday 6pm finish)
