About the Role

As a Senior Sous Chef at Wagamama, you will be an integral part of our restaurant leadership team, supporting the Executive Chef in leading your kitchen team in accordance with our company values and standards. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that every dish served by the kitchen team meets our high culinary standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a high-performing kitchen team to deliver exceptional food quality and service.
  • Develop and implement effective kitchen operations to ensure efficient use of resources and minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create and maintain a positive and inclusive kitchen culture.
  • Monitor and control kitchen costs, including labor, inventory, and supplies.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the development of new menu items and culinary initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Senior Sous Chef or Executive Chef in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent culinary skills and knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to a positive and inclusive kitchen culture.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage kitchen costs and resources effectively.
