Information Technology System Administrator

This position requires an excellent knowledge of IT systems and someone with 3 years plus IT helpdesk or IT System Administration experience. The role is based at our office in Paddington, London, during the working week from Monday to Friday between 9am to 5.30pm, with some scope for working from home. Out of hours work will be needed occasionally to maintain the infrastructure of the network.
Information Systems and Services are headed in the UK by the IT Group manager. This incorporates server and desktop support, audio visual services, and general technical support.
What You Will Be Doing:nHardware - and Software – maintenance onsite and remotelynAnswering helpdesk phone calls, creation/resolution ticket in ITSM toolnProvide first line support on Sys Admin Tasks (MS Active Directory administration, including user creation, passwords)nSet up, configure and install new PCs and associated equipment; ensure all PCs and laptops are up to date with security updatesnCross location IT Support on EU level as well as close co-operation with our Head Office.nPrepare technical proposals for improvement together with the line managernSupport different specialized applicationsnSupport around the ongoing business; IT daily jobs (acceptance of support requests; handling of First, Second and Third level requests); to deliver support to staff in the UK office based in Paddington, London and across Europe.nUser Training

Client Software used includes:nWindows 10 WorkstationnMS Office, Chrome, Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop, Kaspersky AV and endpoint security
What You Should Have/Know:nExcellent written and verbal communication skillsnExcellent service orientation combined with a confident and engaging personalitynGreat people skills; customer focusednSpecific education and experience in ICT field (Informational Technician, Telecommunication or similar)nIn-depth knowledge and experience of supporting MS Windows OS.nExperience of basic Windows Server (AD administration, including user creation, passwords etc.)nKnowledge and some experience of IP networks (Routing, Firewall)nKnowledge of Mac desirednMicrosoft Certification welcomenKnowledge of VoIP telephony (Avaya) is an advantagenA responsible and structured working method; ability to plan, prioritize and organize their own worknTeam spirit and a positive attitude in reaching aims together; able to work independently and as part of a teamnITIL Knowledge as well as basics and first experiences in Project Management would be an advantage
