Essential Duties & Functions
Oversee all installed systems and infrastructure across properties and Head Office, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.nTo ensure maximum availability of computer systems throughout the Company.nResponsible for the provision of IT infrastructure services including desktop applications, Local and/or Wide area networks, IT security and telecommunications.nDevelop and maintain IT policies and procedures to protect IT systems and data integrity across all locations.nResponsible for IT hardware, software and maintenance procurement.nLead and support IT projects, such as system upgrades and new technology rollouts, ensuring minimal operational impact.nConduct training sessions for staff on new technologies and IT best practices to enhance system usage and security.nExcellent knowledge of Windows environment servers and stations, Active Directory, Switching & Firewalls, telephones & mobile.nGood knowledge of Opera/Opera Cloud PMS, Networking, Micros Point of Sale and other hotel systems.nExceptional attention to detail, time management and communication skills.nLiaise with the outsource service providers and other vendors and external support groups to secure necessary repairs and maintenance.nNegotiate and administer vendor, outsourcer, and consultant contracts and services.nIn-depth knowledge of network protocols vice agreements.nManage the IT budget and ensure cost-effectiveness of procured IT services.nResponsible for IT hardware, software and maintenance procurement.nTo maintain the integrity of the systems and network, including, but not exclusively, the servers, infrastructure and 3rd party support contracts / relationships.nTo provide out of hours support.
Essential Job Knowledge & Skills
experience of working within a similar IT Management role, ideally within a Hotel environment - Project Implementation would be highly desirable.ndegree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field desired.nworking experience as an Assistant IT or IT manager or relevant experience.nin managing IT infrastructure and services in a hospitality-related environment is preferrednto multitask, work in a fast paced environment and have a high level attention to detail.nand written communication skills in English.npositive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments.nto work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
