To be the day-to-day finance lead for Pelsis Newport.
Responsibilities
Management AccountsnPreparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.nProduction of monthly financial accounts pack to include a profit and loss, balance sheet and cash score card for reporting deadlines.nEnsure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Forecasting and BudgetingnPartner with the business to assist in the production of the Annual Budget and monthly forecasting.nCollaborate in the design of budget holder reviews using analysis of actuals vs budget with stakeholder requirements and feedback.nProducing weekly 13-week cash forecast for entity
Monthly ReportingnYou will be comfortable working to short month end deadlines, as well as regular external reporting requirements.nSubmitting accurate monthly accounts to Group Finance that have been fully reviewed.nProviding detailed commentary to Regional General Managers to assist their understanding of the monthly financial performance.nMeet external reporting requirements for the business, including VAT, EC Sales, ONS surveys.
OthernWork closely with Pelsis’ group auditors to play a key role in seeing the smooth completion of annual financial audits.nAd hoc support to the Group Finance team as and when required.nAd hoc support and partnering with the Regional GM and wider business as and when required.nCollaborate with other departments to gather financial data and support cross-functional initiatives.
Ad hoc SupportnProvide support to the Site Management Teams, VP Operations and Business Excellence and Operations Finance Business Partner
Candidate requirements
To succeed in this role you will be in, or have experience of, a similar role and the view to progress, studying towards an Accountancy qualification with a strong background in purchase ledger within a fast-paced working environment.
You must:nBe able to work in a confident and professional manner.nHave a sound understanding of basic accounting techniques.nHave the ability to work productively and flexibly under pressure to meet tight deadlines, especially at month end.nHave strong communication skills to be able to work with colleagues and external parties regarding financial matters.nBe a self-starter who wishes to take ownership of the role and can suggest areas of development to create greater efficiencies within the role.nBe confident in the use of MS Excel to organize and analyse data
Having experience of using SAP Business One, Navision or Microsoft AX would be valued, but not deemed a necessity.
