Counted Recruitment are currently recruiting an **Management Accountant** for a great **property**business based in **Dudley**. The role will see you play a crucial part in a fantastic finance team.

Main duties of this **Management Accountant** role include:

- Producing monthly profit and loss account and variance report with explanation for the Financial Accountant.
- Checking operational income and expenditure and post journals as required to ensure top level accuracy of monthly reporting is maintained.
- Keeping an eye on the performance indicators, picking up accurate insightful trends and examine causes of unforeseen variances.
- Responsibility for tracking service charge recovery and clarifying shortfalls.
- Ensuring cost recharging undertaken where applicable.
- Working with Commercial Accountants to carry out performance reports for Asset Managers / Sector Directors quarterly reviews along with P&L forecasts.
- Finding opportunities to improve cost management across the portfolio.
- Ensuring acquisitions are executed correctly and efficiently, communicating with the relevant people to ensure a smooth transition.
- Reporting of refurbishment expenditure - agreement with the Financial Accountant as to the appropriate treatment split between exceptional costs and capital expenditure
- Responsiblity for completing head rent calculations by liaison with Asset Managers and landlords where required.
- Working closely with the Asset Management admin team to manage rates and rate mitigation costs to ensure our liabilities are correct and refunds are received.

**Location / Office / Hours**

Multi-hundred £m property business based in the Dudley area. They are five days a week in the office, but they do have onsite parking
