Monday to Thursday 08:30-17:00

Job Description:
We are recruiting a Materials Scheduler to join a fast-paced manufacturing team, essential for ensuring materials meet production schedules and optimise inventory levels. The Materials Scheduler will work closely with production planning, using ERP systems—particularly Epicor—to manage materials and scheduling processes. This role involves aspects of purchasing, allowing for engagement with suppliers to support cost-effective inventory management.
Primary responsibilities for the Materials Scheduler include:
* Production Planning: Coordinate and implement materials scheduling based on production forecasts and inventory goals.
* ERP System Management: Utilise Epicor (or similar systems) to maintain inventory, track material needs, and ensure data accuracy.
* Materials Scheduling: Manage stock levels, lead times, and handle any disruptions to maintain production efficiency.
* Purchasing Support: Engage in purchasing activities, assist in negotiating supplier terms, and support inventory cost control.
* Cross-Department Collaboration: Partner with production, warehouse, and engineering teams to align on material requirements and schedules.
* Process Improvement: Actively seek and implement improvements in materials scheduling, ERP usage, and workflow optimization.
Skills & Experience:
To succeed as a Materials Scheduler in this role, candidates should have:
* Previous experience as a Materials Schedular or similar role within a manufacturing environment, preferably in metal or heavy industry.
* Strong production planning skills and knowledge of manufacturing and inventory control processes.
* Proficiency with ERP systems, ideally Epicor, to manage materials and inventory requirements.
* Basic purchasing experience, including supplier management and negotiating.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and cross-departmental collaboration skills.
