Job description:
Purpose of the RoleThis role will be based at our Carnsew Quarry, Penryn on a full time permanent basis. The Quarry and asphalt plant general fitterwillcomplete maintenance for an asphalt plant and a crusher (adjusting or replacing mechanical parts, electrical circuits, greasing bearings, insulating, cleaning, etc.). The role guarantees the proper functioning and performance of installations in order to allow the production of materials in terms of quality and quantity within the required deadlines and in compliance with safety regulations.
Main ResponsibilitiesTheQuarry and asphalt plant general fitterwill carryout checks to identify any anomalies and plan the type of maintenance, short or long-term. Managing technical information and interpreting what is going on in the systems they are responsible for. The role also involves testing new equipment and verifying its operating status toanticipate breakdowns and controls the installation, while youdiagnose the origin of breakdowns, plans the maintenance program, participates in repairs as soon as possible and updates the maintenance sheets.
The Ideal CandidateThe ideal candidate would haveexperienceworking in an industrial environment or facilities with a technical understanding of electrical or mechanical systemsand the ability to replace broken or defective components in machinery or equipment
