CIWEM is a professional membership organisation, developing careers and competencies for environmental professionals in national and local government, business, academia and charities. We are on a journey to become a leader in global engagement with environmental competency and solutions and we need our Registrations Officer to help us get there.
As Registrations Officer, you will be responsible for responding to and dealing with queries and application relating to CIWEM, the Engineering Council, Society for the Environment and Science Council and our developing Specialist Registers, providing efficient, professional and accurate advice.
Your ability to plan and prioritise work is essential in this busy environment, along with demonstrated effective communication skills enabling you to deliver a high standard of customer service. We are looking for someone with a friendly, supportive and collaborative approach to work to play a key role in the promotion, recruitment and registration of members, and be central to the success of the Institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Support applicants undertaking Qualifications and Individual Assessment for Engineering Council registrations, acting as the first point of call for queries
- Take responsibility for and administer applications for our non-Chartered (MCIWEM), membership and applications for our developing specialist Registers
- Manage the registration of individuals with the Engineering Council, Science Council and Society for the Environment and supporting with annual data returns
- Supporting periodic licence reviews, the implementation of updated standards and promotion of activities with the Engineering Council, Science Council and Society for the Environment
- Supporting annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) audit of members
- Provide support to the Membership and Professional Standards Manager during professional review interviews for Chartered members
- Provide administrative support for membership committees, including the Professional Standards Committee, Qualifications Panel and Early Careers Network
- Manage individual member records within the CIWEM CRM and help to develop this system to ensure that it meets the current and future needs of CIWEM
- Support the organisation’s commitment to quality management and compliance with ISO certification requirements
- Support the organisation’s compliance with GDPR
