Membership and Registration Officer

The leading international professional Institution for engineers working in railway signal and telecommunication systems, the IRSE has over 5000 members and almost 500 registrants worldwide.
This is a key role, supporting the Head of Membership & Registration in all membership and professional registration activities of the Institution in line with the policies and requirements of the Institution and Engineering Council license specifications.
**Responsibilities**:
- Act as committee secretary to the Membership & Registration Committee
- Oversee the professional registration process for all applicants and support the Head of Membership & Registration in dealing with Engineering Council registration activities
- Support the Head of Membership & Registration in ensuring the smooth running of the department
- Maintain the CRM database ensuring the accuracy of membership records and prepare regular reports for various IRSE stakeholders.
- Excellent organisational ability including time management skills and ability to prioritise work effectively
- Demonstrable problem-solving ability and a ‘can do’, positive and proactive approach
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to build positive working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and telephone manner
- A commitment to excellence in customer service and the drive to achieve continuous improvement
- A self-starter, able to work autonomously as well as part of a team
