Overview:
Compass Associates is excited to be collaborating alongside a renowned Children's Care and Specialist Education provider. They have a portfolio of Residential Services, Specialist Schools and Activity Centres for children and young people with Autism and complex needs such as Emotional Behavioural Difficulties.
Together, we are looking for a Lead Psychologist to help oversee the therapy in either a dual- or single-site role. In Cornwall, they have two co-educational schools which oversee children ages 7 – 16, from backgrounds such as challenging behaviour and Autism Spectrum Disorders. As the Lead Psychologist, you have the option to cover both or one of the schools, while providing direct clinical work, assessment, supervision and training for a friendly therapeutic team including Assistant Psychologists and Trainee Psychologists with a common goal to make a difference on these children’s lives.
Work Pattern:
4 day working week (after passing probation), while being paid the normal 5 day rate
Prior to passing probation, you will be managing your own diary, Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week.
Part-time applicants are also welcome.
Location:
The two schools are based in Central Cornwall, and are commutable from Penzance, St. Ives, Truro, Newquay, St. Austell, Plymouth, Exeter and other surrounding towns and villages.
Criteria:
- HCPC Registered as a Practitioner Psychologist (Clinical, Counselling, Educational and Forensic)
- Experience of providing therapy to a client group with autism as the primary diagnosis
Interview Process:
This will be a one-stage process with a panel including the Head of Clinical Operations for the region, held either in person or virtually.
Salary and Benefits:
The Psychologist role is paying up to £60,000 per annum depending on experience and qualifications, + £2,000 training allowance, and includes an industry-leading benefit package:
