Belmont Recruitment are currently working with Preston based Community Stroke Neuro ABI Team, who are looking for a Band 6 Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to join them on a contract basis.
Working within a Neuro-Psychology led team consisting of Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Neuro Psychology, Rehabilitation Assistant, Physiotherapy and Case Management supported by Clinical and Team Leads
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessment of need, intervention and treatment provision as indicated for a wide variety of conditions (this may include chronic, complex, disabling life limiting and challenging illnesses) within the area of speech and language therapy.
This is 3-6 months contract with potential extension. It is a full-time position of 37.5hrs a week, Monday to Friday.
Duties | Responsibilities:
* The role will support the time-limited rehabilitation of adults following acquired brain injury (ABI)
* Safeguarding of children/adults and implementation of policy and procedures with evidence of training/updates
* Involvement in service improvement projects
* Knowledge of a range of therapy techniques and programmes
Pay rate: £24.00 - £25.00 per hour (depending on experience)
