Cambridgeshire County Council is looking for a Senior Commissioning Manager to join our Children’s Commissioning Service. We have an opportunity within Children in Care (CiC)  and this is a unique opportunity to be part of our high performing commissioning service.

About you

You will have:

  • Significant experience in commissioning within children\'s services.
  • Strong leadership skills with a focus on team collaboration and motivation
  • A proven track record in managing service providers
  • Extensive experience in strategy / policy development and service improvement
  • Commercial acumen to ensure value for money in service delivery
  • Demonstrable understanding of best practices in commissioning and project delivery.
  • Knowledge of early intervention, prevention services, and support for children in Care, Children with disabilities / SEND
  • The ability to lead on commissioning services across various specialist areas.
  • Strong analytical and interpretative skills for effective service evaluation.
  • Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in negotiating and influencing, with a variety of strategies and tactics.
  • Strong self-management and supervisory skills.
