Company Description
At Home Instead Leek & Moorlands we offer support to individuals living in their own home. We are looking for Home Care Assistants to attend visits to our clients in Matlock, Ashbourne & Bakewell . Offer companionship, support, and happiness to our clients, all while enjoying the flexibility that comes with working for us. No experience required - just a friendly personality and the right values.
At Home Instead we have minimum 1-hour calls plus suitable travel time to ensure you are not rushed with clients, with mileage reimbursement . We work to match our Care Professionals and clients together so memorable connections can be established. All initial calls with a client who is new to you will be introductions with the support of another colleague, so you can really get to know your client and their needs.
This is a minimum of 25 hours per week contract, but you must be flexible with availability Monday-Friday and alternative weekends, and able to travel to Ashbourne, Bakewell, Matlock and the surrounding Moorlands areas (including Leek, Endon & Brown Edge).
First Stage Interviews for this position will be conducted via Microsoft Teams.
Job Description
Responsibilities as a Domiciliary Support Worker:
  • Offering warmth and care during visits.
  • Enhance the home atmosphere by aiding in light household chores and meal preparations .
  • Help clients cherish their time with you, sharing in activities such as reading or watching favourite TV shows.
  • Support with personal care tasks such as showering, washing hair, and getting changed.
  • Taking clients out to places of their choice e.g. the local shops.
  • Ensure transparent communication with clients and loved ones, offering first-rate care and comfort .

Qualifications
Requirements:
  • Experience is not required ; we offer comprehensive in-house training. However, any previous care experience either professional or personal is an advantage.
  • You must have a full driver's licence and dependable transportation for various duties.
  • You must be reliable and punctual to ensure we can continue to provide an excellent service to our clients.
  • Must have a caring, friendly disposition to create lasting relationships.
