GSL Education is looking for a Dedicated and exceptional Behaviour Mentor to join a co-educational school in Doncaster from the upcoming September term.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will work closely with secondary students, providing the guidance and support they need to thrive both academically and personally. The role includes assisting in the creation of a stable, supportive environment that aids students' educational and personal growth.
As a Behaviour Mentor, your responsibilities will include:
Supporting students in managing their behaviour and making positive choices.
Implementing behaviour management strategies to maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
Working one-on-one or in small groups with students to address specific behavioural challenges.
Collaborating with teachers, parents, and other staff to create and implement individual behaviour plans.
Monitoring and recording student progress, providing regular feedback to relevant staff.
Requirements for a successful Behaviour Mentor:
Prior experience in a similar role or working with young people.
Relevant qualifications or training in education, youth work, or counselling is an advantage.
Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Patient, empathetic, and committed to supporting students' personal development.
Strong behavioral management skills with a focus on positive reinforcement.
