Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualised support to students with behavioural challenges.
- Develop and implement effective behaviour management strategies.
- Monitor and track student progress, adjusting support plans as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers to integrate behaviour support into classroom activities.
- Build positive relationships with students, fostering trust and respect.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to provide updates on student progress.
- Work with external agencies and professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
- Promote a positive and inclusive school environment.
Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young people in a mentoring or support role.
- Strong understanding of behaviour management techniques and strategies.
- Ability to remain calm and patient in challenging situations.
- Genuine passion for helping students overcome barriers to their learning.
- Relevant qualifications in education, psychology, or a related field are desirable but not essential.
Please note that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection, and successful applicants must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including providing an enhanced DBS on the update service or completing an application for a new check.
