Behaviour Mentor

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated Behaviour Mentor to work in schools across Doncaster, supporting students with challenging behaviour.
As a Behaviour Mentor, you will play a critical role in encouraging positive behavioural changes and providing emotional support to those who need it most.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual or group support to students struggling with behaviour issues.
- Assist teachers with behaviour management strategies, promoting calmness and consistency in the learning environment.
- Act as a role model for students, inspiring them to adopt positive behavioural changes.
- Help to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for students.
- Liaise with parents, teachers, and SEN coordinators to ensure consistent behavioural improvements.
Essential Requirements:
- Prior experience in supporting children with behavioural challenges is essential.
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach to handling challenging situations is key.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with school staff are necessary.
- A valid DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one is required.
