National Account Executive

Applications are invited for the above position to work as part of the UK Foodservice National team in Bromley.
This role is home based with the expectation of regular travel within the UK and Ireland, including to the Bromley Office as required. On average there would be an expectation to work away at least 2 nights every week (depending on location).
The Role
The role will provide the individual management of an agreed portfolio of current & potential new national accounts and implement agreed sales targets. The role will develop the sales and contribution of both existing and new products propositions through the nominated National Account customer base and maximise the sales and contribution of both existing customers and new business opportunities in line with the corporate strategy, thereby ensuring the achievement of the Foodservice & Consumer Foods divisional strategic objectives.
The Person
The successful candidate must be educated to GCSE Level (to include Maths & English Grade C or above) or equivalent. It is essential that the successful candidate has experience within a structured UK Foodservice environment including working with wholesalers as well as proven account management experience. The successful candidate must also be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering profitable growth through the setting and monitoring of sales targets.
The successful candidate must have the ability to identify new business opportunities, turning them into commercial success, a good understanding of budget control and knowledge of the UK foodservice market, own brand and branded manufacturing processes within a food manufacturing business.
The candidate must have the ability to set realistic and challenging goals, could reason and rationalise complex business scenarios, be influential in establishing partnerships and alliances to achieve objectives and efficiently manage time and resources to achieve these.
The successful candidate must have a strong analytical and financial aptitude and excellent communication skills (to include presentation and negotiation skills), with a high proficiency in Microsoft Office. A full valid driving license is also essential for this role.
