  • Work with peers and the Head of Risk Management & Assurance to define and complete team strategy and reporting mechanisms to build and maintain a high level of investment and support from the business.
  • Build and manage relationships with stakeholders at all levels to support the team in meeting objectives and ensuring assurance stays up to date with and works to assure any business change.
  • Develop standard methodology, driving improvements in current processes and influencing the future of risk management in UKI and the wider Flutter Group.
  • Work with peers within the function, Group Risk and Internal Audit to ensure a co-ordinated work plan across Enterprise Risk, Tech Risk and Assurance, retaining independence but eliminating duplication of effort.

  • Develop a successful team, ensuring the team are set up for success with the objective of developing and retaining talent.
How you'll do it
  • Significant relevant experience working in Risk, Compliance or Audit
  • Advanced knowledge of control testing and audit methodologies, and ability to train and develop more junior or new members of the team in this area.
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with key partners at all levels, selling the benefits of assurance.
  • Ability to deliver through others, effectively handling deadlines both for yourself and your team.
  • Ability to be resilient when giving advice and challenge to internal customers, doing this in an authentic and credible way and being able to steer conversations to the desired outcome.
  • Ability to translate risk and compliance terminology into business language that all can understand.
  • Effective organization skills and the ability to prioritize and work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining high standards and quality of work.
