Role purpose:
We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Fraud & AML Operations to join our Customer Operations function as part of the UK & Ireland team. Reporting directly to the Director of Risk Operations UKI, this critical role will play a pivotal role in safeguarding our business and ensuring a seamless customer experience across our renowned brands: Sky Betting & Gaming, Paddy Power, and Betfair.

This role can be based out of Dublin, Hammersmith, Leeds or Malta.

Accountabilities:
Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and oversee the Fraud & AML Operations function for Flutter UKI, managing operations across multiple locations in Dublin, Malta, Leeds, and London.
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of Fraud & AML practices and regulations, providing expert guidance to the team and key stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of excellence in customer experience while maintaining a strong focus on operational efficiency and risk mitigation.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive long-term strategy to protect the business from fraudulent activities and work closely with our Compliance teams to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with key stakeholders on operational performance, risks, and strategies to optimize operational outcomes.
- Act as a senior escalation point for review and risk assessment of high-risk and complex cases involving various customer types (e.g., recreational, exchange, corporate, and retail customers).
- Act as an inspiring and influential people leader, motivating and developing the team to achieve their full potential.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and changes, ensuring the company remains proactive in adapting to the evolving landscape.
- Proactively manage resources and systems to prevent and detect money laundering and fraud, minimizing financial losses and reputational risks.
- Monitor and control operational costs to ensure adherence to agreed budgets.

- Leading a large people operation ideally across multiple sites/countries.
- Significant relevant experience in a risk based operational leadership role at a senior level ideally within a heavily regulated industry.
