The Group Financial Controller will play a key part of the senior management team and will play a key part in the contribution of strategic and commercial goals alongside long term focuses and visions. The business is after a dynamic and highly motivated individual who will lead and continuously develop the accounting team to optimize processes across the function.

A few key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation and management of monthly management accounts together with supporting reports and board reports.
  • Revenue and margin related activities: gross profit reporting, accruals and WIP review.
  • Managing the forecasting and budgeting process.
  • Cash flow management, banking, and treasury.
  • Daily and weekly reporting (revenue, cost no revenue analysis, job volumes).
  • Statutory accounts, audit file preparation and main contact for auditors.
  • HMRC / Taxes; CIS, PAYE, VAT, P11d’s, tax and annual returns
  • Managing Payroll, Pension, and related matters
  • Continuous improvement of reporting and processes.
  • Ad-hoc queries and reporting as expected in Head of Finance role.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Fully qualified (ACA / CIMA / ACCA or similar).
  • Experience in construction &/or facilities management is desired.
  • Excellent Excel and financial modelling skills are required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and meet strict deadlines.
  • Experience of working in a broad role, with a proactive and flexible attitude is required.
