About the role:
Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs?
We are hiring a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team, offering a unique opportunity to work closely with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students, providing essential support to those with challenging behaviours.
As part of our commitment to meeting diverse student needs, we're expanding our SEN support team to ensure every child receives personalised care and attention. In small, inclusive classes, you'll collaborate with experienced teachers and SEN specialists to create tailored learning strategies, fostering academic and personal growth.
Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children with special educational needs, particularly those with challenging behaviours.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
• A patient and empathetic approach, coupled with resilience and adaptability in challenging situations.
• Relevant qualifications or training in SEN support is desirable but not essential.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with special educational needs, focusing on behavioural management and academic progress.
• Assist class teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons that cater to individual learning styles and needs.
• Implement and monitor personalised behaviour plans, fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
• Collaborate with SENCO and external agencies to ensure the holistic development and well-being of students.
