We are currently looking for a HR Business Partner to join our team in Burnley. You will provide commercially focused HR advice, guidance and support to enable Directors, Managers and Unit Leaders to achieve strategic and operational goals and objectives, ensuring HR is aligned to business objectives. What you'll do: Act as a strategic partner to leaders in the business, providing data-driven advice and ethical guidance on all aspects of HR practices. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals, resulting in improved employee engagement and organisational performance. Leverage people analytics and insights to measure the impact of these strategies and ensure accountability for outcomes. Drive talent management initiatives such as performance management and succession planning while working closely with the Talent Acquisition Partner on recruitment and onboarding to attract, retain and develop talent. Initiate and support with professional development iniatives such as graduate schemes and apprenticeship programmes, maintaining effective relationships with external bodies, including industry bodies and training organisations and providers. Lead employee relations activities, ensuring compliance with employment law and regulations, while fostering a positive and inclusive work environment. Adopt a proactive approach to early intervention, coaching leaders to resolve issues before escalation. Develop and deliver training programmes to enhance the skills and capabilities of employees and Managers, supporting growth and organisational effectiveness. Champion leadership capability and accountability by designing training that drives behaviour change and cultural alignment. Manage the annual appraisal process and work closely with managers to set goals, assess performance and drive individual and team development. Establish and enhance the ‘employee voice’, using engagement surveys to drive action plans with tangible deliverables to strengthen culture and leadership, ensuring feedback mechanisms are data-informed, transparent, and result in measurable change. Conduct analysis of HR KPIs and data to identify trends, patterns and areas for improvement, contributing to evidence-based decision making and strategic planning. Partner with leaders to address root causes. Act as a cultural champion during period of change and transformation, ensuring HR contributes visibly to organisational adaptability and resilience. Serve as trusted advisor to employees, offering guidance on HR policies, procedures and employee benefits, ensuring a high level of employee satisfaction and wellbeing Carry out and support with generalist HR activities while continuously seeking process improvements. Keep informed of industry trends and best practices, proactively recommending and implementing innovative approaches. Benchmarking HR performance against external standards to maintain a high-impact function. What you'll need: Relationship management skills, especially at managerial and stakeholder levels. Business acumen, including financial acumen and strategic planning. Verbal and written communication, including active listening for understanding business goals and providing HR solutions that will achieve them. Logic, analytics and problem-solving for evaluating business metrics and determining ways to improve results. Comprehensive understanding of employment laws, including inclusion and diversity programmes. Comprehensive understanding of the industry, focus area and business trends .
