**Job Summary (Salary dependent on experience)**

The key responsibilities for the HR Associate will be to deliver an efficient and professional HR service to employees, supporting employee relations casework, providing advice and assistance on HR policies and procedures, updating and maintain information on HR systems, completing administrative tasks, assisting and supporting with HR projects and to assist in promoting company values and behaviors

The role is responsible for managing all HR information systems to ensure data is accurate, up to date, secure and filed appropriately. Provide the business with HR data and insights to support continuous improvement of HR processes and key performance indicators. Provide day to day operational support to Senior, middle and front line managers on all HR related matters.

**Education**:
CIPD Level 3 Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources Practice

**Key Job Responsibilities**

**General and Task Management.**

The below description and list is not an exhaustive list. But has been provided to give the job holder an overall sense of the key responsibilities associated with the role.

**Service Delivery**
- Ensure the accurate, timely delivery of HR processes, highlighting any need for corrective action
- Ensure accurate administration and maintenance of HR databases, filing and information systems.
- Accurately collect, collate and analyse HR related data to identify continuous improvement opportunities, policy amendment requirements and risks to the organisation
- Use HR systems to generate reports

**Employee Relations**
- Administration and maintenance of all ER documentation (Contracts of Employment, letter templates etc)
- Handle employee and manager HR enquiries, support management with effective case management, ensure all policies and procedures are applied consistently and fairly.
- Monitor people processes and activities to ensure they are in line with ER policies and legislation.
- Provide accurate, timely information and support to managers on the resolution of ER matters (Disciplinary, Grievances etc)
- Keep accurate and appropriate records of ER related issues.
- Support with accurate minute taking and general administrative duties associated with all ER matters
- Note take and support in disciplinary matters escalating where necessary to the HR Business Partner

**Employee Engagement**
- Maintain key employee communication channels (Member briefs, quarterly business briefs, information screens, notice boards etc).
- Support the development and delivery of employee engagement plans and initiatives

**Resource and Talent Planning**
- Administer recruitment cycle activities maintaining communication with the L&D team
- Ensure the accurate, timely completion of the employee starter and leaver process, ensuring all relevant documentation is administered, data managed and filing activities maintained.
- Administer, collate and analyse exit interview data
- Carry out right to work check for all new joiners

**HR and Payroll activities**
- conduct a review of weekly time and attendance and complete report weekly payroll processing
- complete attendance reports each quarter for processing
- Provide information to the finance department as needed

**Leading HR**
- Support in the delivery of HR projects
- Support in the delivery of department plans and strategy
- Provide relevant information to support the development and monitoring of budgets.

**Experience**
- Strong HR administration experience
- HR systems experience, ideally Mitre Finch Technology
- Experience in Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Experience of HR filing systems
- Experience of handling confidential information inline with the data protection act
- Experience of the creation and delivery of project plans
- Experience in the support of employee relation activities
- Experience in creating employee communication literature
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in working in a fast paced working environment

**Knowledge**
- HR technology: Understanding of daily management requirements of HR technology models
- Data Analysis and Presentation
- Understanding employee lifecycle and employee needs at specific points
- Handling and escalating employee issues
- Cost awareness
- Foundations of change management at individual and collective level
- Fundamentals of employee relations and communicating employee relations policies
- Employee engagement, internal communication tools, employee engagement data analysis tools
- Performance and reward: data collection and analysis and awareness of how data affects business performance
- Performance and reward policies, procedures and systems
- Induction tools
