Job Description
As a Support Care Worker, you will play a key role in assisting young people with their day-to-day needs, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social well-being. You’ll work closely with our team to create a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment where residents can reach their full potential.
Main Responsibilities:
* Provide personal care and support in line with individual care plans.
* Assist in planning and participating in recreational activities within the home and local community.
* Ensure a high standard of care, comfort, and cleanliness for all residents.
* Maintain accurate records and adhere to confidentiality policies.
* Assist in developing care plans and participating in client reviews.
* Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other professionals to meet each individual's needs.
* Work flexibly on a shift rota basis, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety policies, reporting any concerns to management.
What We’re Looking For:
* Passion for working with young people with learning disabilities and autism.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Ability to maintain professionalism, respect confidentiality, and show empathy.
* Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
* Previous experience in a similar care setting is preferred but not essential—training will be provided.
* NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or a willingness to work towards it).
