Job description
Due to continuous growth we are looking for a highly motivated and driven Mechanical or Electrical biased M&E Contracts Manager to run multiple secured projects ranging. The role would report directly to the M&E Construction Director.
Who are we looking for?
Demonstrable experience within a similar role
Ability to deal with diversity, ambiguity and multi-tasking.
Knowledge of Health & Safety.
Experience of operating IT systems.
Overall knowledge and understanding of Commercial Mechanical & Electrical systems and their installation methods.
Good people management and motivational skills.
Specific Role requirements:
* Mechanically/Plumbing/Heating/Electrically qualified
* SMSTS/IOSH
* Securing and managing labour.
* Input at tender / cost planning stage including evaluating M&E Consultants specifications and tender drawings.
* Prepare tender lists for specialist sub-contractors and major plant / equipment
* Analyse bids and quotations for specification compliance.
* Delivery of Construction issue co-ordinated working drawings to programme.
* Checking and sign off of Co-ordinated working drawings for compliance, maintainability and commissionabilty prior to issue.
* Delivery of plant and equipment to meet programme (incl factory witnessing)
* Raise and agree technical submissions
* Management of design team to meet their obligations (organise / chair design workshops)
* Liaison with Construction team members (incl site inspections)
* Liaison with sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure order completeness, spec compliance and interface with Electrical, Mechanical and construction elements.
* Management of CDP Specialists.
* Preparation and monitoring of Client and design changes.
* Manage project managers and supervisors
* Tracking project costs and preparing valuations and final accounts
* Attend scheme design team meetings as necessary
* As Contracts Manager you’ll be responsible for managing the delivery of contracts from initial enquiry through to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
* Overseeing every stage of the process, from tendering, estimating, design and project management.
* To motivate Engineers/Operatives to produce optimum performance.
* To ensure project compliance.
* To liaise and communicate with clients, suppliers and sub-contractors.
* To monitor programmed performance of Contracts and ensure a timely completion.
* Attending regular progress meetings with clients
* Site visits, reports and inspections
* To implement and comply with all Health Safety Policies & procedures & maintain a healthy and safe working environment. To undertake company and personal RAMS in the safe performance of duties.
* Minimum 3 years Contracts Management experience
