Job Description: We are seeking a passionate and experienced Youth Substance Misuse Intervention Specialist to join the team. This role requires travel within the community, utilizing the Youth Bus and Health and Well-being Bus. The successful candidate will deliver psychosocial and harm reduction interventions to support young people in stopping their substance misuse.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interventions, and provide advice to prevent substance misuse-related injuries and risky behaviours.
* Increase awareness of substance misuse through the universal delivery of information, advice, and guidance.
* Provide targeted support to young people at risk of substance misuse or already engaged in substance misuse, helping them reduce or stop their use and minimize associated harms.
* Conduct substance misuse screenings and make referrals to Insight Enfield Sort It, ensuring continuity of care.
* Manage a small caseload of young people requiring treatment but refusing referral to Insight Enfield Sort It, and report treatment caseload data to the National Drug Treatment Monitoring System (NDTMS).
* Support young people receiving substance misuse support to access Youth Development Service activities and opportunities.
* Collaborate with Insight Enfield Sort It to ensure seamless referral pathways into and out of treatment, and participate in treatment service team meetings and co-delivery of services.
Qualifications and Experience:
* Qualification in Youth Work or equivalent to NVQ Level 3, or other relevant professional qualification.
* Experience in delivering psychosocial and harm reduction interventions to young people.
* Valid clean driver's license (advantageous).
* Ability to work flexibly during school hours, evenings, weekends, and holiday periods.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Working Hours & Pay:
The role will have you working Monday to Friday, 9-5.
The role will be paying £20p/h.
