Substance Misuse Early Intervention Worker

Key Responsibilities:
* Travel within the community to fulfill duties, utilizing the Youth Bus and Health and Well-being Bus.
* Deliver psychosocial and harm reduction interventions to young people, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Motivational Interventions.
* Provide advice and information to prevent substance misuse-related injuries and risky behaviors.
Qualifications:
* Valid Clean driver’s license (advantageous).
* Qualification in Youth Work or equivalent to NVQ Level 3 or other relevant professional qualification.
* Experience in delivering interventions aimed at stopping substance misuse.
Expectations:
* Flexibility to work during school hours, evenings, weekends, and holiday periods.
* Contribute to Enfield's National Drug Strategy goal of reducing drug use and promoting a healthier environment for young people.
* Increase awareness and deliver targeted support for substance misuse prevention and reduction.
* Undertake substance misuse screening and support young people in accessing treatment services.
Role Specifics:
* Based in the Youth Development Service, working across various projects including Youth Centres, Schools, Outreach Teams, and more.
* Maintain a small caseload of young people requiring treatment, supporting them in reducing or stopping substance misuse.
